My book is not found after scanning
Some books, especially self-published or very recent ones, are in no catalogue. First check that the barcode you scanned is the ISBN (it starts with 978 or 979) and not a bookshop code. Send us the ISBN and we will see whether it can be added.
The page count does not match my edition
Catalogues often describe an edition other than the one in your hands. On the book page, tap the page count to the right of the progress bar to correct it: progress is recalculated.
The cover is missing
Only Google Books provides covers; the BnF and the SUDOC do not. When no image is found, the title is shown on a plain card instead. If a cover later appears in the catalogues, it will be picked up automatically.
My books do not appear on my other device
Check that you are signed in with the same Apple account. Syncing is immediate when both devices are online; otherwise pull the list down to refresh it.
The ambience stops when I lock the screen
It should not: playback continues with the screen off. If it does stop, check that Encoche is not restricted under Settings → General → Background App Refresh, and that silent mode is not the cause.
I want to delete my account and my data
Write to us from the address linked to your account: everything is erased within 30 days.
